Engr. Nardito M. Cornelio Jr. PME

National President

Engr. Nardito M. Cornelio, Jr., PME is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in geothermal power plant operations, maintenance, and fire and life safety engineering. A graduate of Bicol University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he began his career at the BacMan Geothermal Power Plant and steadily rose through the ranks to become Facility Maintenance Head under Energy Development Corporation. His expertise covers power plant systems, pipeline operations, project management, industrial safety, and reliability maintenance.

A Professional Mechanical Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, and BFP Certified Fire Safety Practitioner, Engr. Cornelio is currently the National President and Founding Director of PIFPO. He is also a past National President of PSME and former Chairman of the PSME-BFP Technical Working Group. Now serving as President and CEO of REIAND Construction and Supply Corporation, he continues to lead in engineering, fire protection, and construction, while also contributing to professional development and mentoring in the industry.

Ar. Roland James B. Arimado

VP for Internal Affairs

Ar. Roland James B. Arimado is a registered and licensed architect with extensive experience in fire and life safety design, construction management, and sustainable building systems. A graduate of Bicol University, he is also an ASEAN Architect and LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C). He currently serves as Managing Partner of Flowforth Ventures, Inc. and Managing Principal of Arqicentric Consultancy Company, while also acting as an A&E Consultant for Makati Development Corporation. His career spans major developments, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, with specialization in building fire and life safety systems.

With a strong background in design, research, and innovation, Ar. Arimado has led numerous high-profile projects and served as a subject matter expert in fire safety, modular construction, and material systems. He is an active National Secretary of PIFPO and Chair of its Awards and Recognition Committee, as well as a member of UAP, NFPA, and USGBC. A frequent resource speaker and contributor to fire safety publications, he continues to advance industry standards and promote safe, sustainable, and resilient building practices.

Engr. Dioscoro P. Marañon Jr., PME, PH.D.

VP for External Affairs

Engr. Dioscoro P. Marañon Jr., PME is a distinguished mechanical engineering professional, educator, and industry leader specializing in fire protection and mechanical systems design. He currently serves as National Vice President for External Affairs of the Philippine Integrated Fire Protection Organization (PIFPO) and is actively engaged in engineering consultancy, research, and professional development. A Cum Laude graduate of the University of Negros Occidental–Recoletos, he completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman as a DOST scholar, and earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management from TUP Manila.

With extensive experience in mechanical and fire protection system design, Engr. Marañon has contributed to major hospital, government, and institutional projects. He is also a Professor at STI West Negros University, teaching engineering, mathematics, and research. A recognized leader, he has served as Charter President of PIFPO Negros Occidental Chapter and President of PSME Negros Occidental Chapter. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Mechanical Engineer (TOME) Award in both research and consultancy, and was conferred the PSME Fellow Award (2025), continuing to advance engineering innovation and public safety in the Philippines.

Engr. Gedeon O. Zonio, PME

Secretary

Engr. Gedeon O. Zonio, PME is a multi-disciplinary engineering professional with over 16 years of experience in mechanical, civil, and MEPFS systems. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from EARIST and Civil Engineering from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. His career spans QA/QC for oil and gas projects, HVAC design, and engineering management, with international experience as a Piping Design Engineer for waste-to-energy projects in Japan. He is currently the President and General Manager of G.O. Zonio Engineering & Construction Services (GOZENCOS) and serves as an engineering consultant for various industrial and agricultural facilities.

A licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer, Master Plumber, and Master Electrician, Engr. Zonio also holds certifications as an ASEAN Certified Energy Manager, DOLE Safety Officer 2, and CMDF Certified Trainer. He is an active industry leader, serving as National Secretary of PIFPO and Charter President of its Cavite Chapter. He is also a board and technical committee member of PSIM Makati, a Lifetime Member of PSME, and a member of the NFPA (USA), contributing to the advancement of engineering standards and fire protection practices.

Engr. Rio C. Tubon, PECE

Board of Trustee

Engr. Rio C. Tubon, PECE is a seasoned electronics and communications engineering professional with over 35 years of experience in building auxiliary systems. A graduate of BS ECE from Mapúa Institute of Technology, he currently serves as Senior Auxiliary Manager at Megaworld Corporation, specializing in FDAS, BMS, and integrated building technologies. He also shares his industry expertise as a part-time instructor at the Technological Institute of the Philippines – Quezon City (TIP-QC) since 2018.

He is an active leader in professional organizations, serving as Chairman of the Building Electronics and Auxiliary Systems Society of IECEP (2022–2026) and Co-Chairman of the FDAS/BMS Code Revision Technical Working Group. He is also a National Board Director and Committee Chair of PIFPO (2024–2026), with prior roles including Vice President for Technical Affairs and Secretary of the Antipolo Rizal Chapter. Additionally, he has served as Vice President for Mechatronics of the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines and currently holds the position of VP–Internal of AMECEA (2024–2026).

Engr. Apostol Enrico Z. Argamino, PME

Engr. Apostol Enrico Z. Argamino, PME is a seasoned mechanical engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Head at SMC-RMI (San Miguel Corporation – Ready Mix Inc.), assigned at BMEG Mega Plant in Bulacan. He brings decades of industry experience in plant operations, engineering management, and industrial systems, contributing to efficient and reliable large-scale production environments.

A graduate of Saint Louis University, Baguio City, he earned his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1985, passed the Mechanical Engineer licensure in 1987, and became a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) in 2000. He is an active leader in professional organizations, serving as Past President of PSME Tarlac Chapter (2025) and Charter President of PIFPO Tarlac Chapter (2023–2024), demonstrating his commitment to advancing engineering practice and fire protection advocacy.

Ben Wong

Engr. Benedict A. Wong, ACPE, PME

Board of Trustee

Engr. Benedict A. Wong, ACPE, PME is an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer and seasoned mechanical engineering professional with over 15 years of experience in HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitary engineering. A graduate of St. Louis University – Baguio with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he also earned his Master in Business Administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business. His extensive career includes leadership roles in engineering, project management, and building operations for prestigious hotels, multinational corporations, and large-scale construction projects across the Philippines.

Currently, he serves as the President and Company Owner of Backwater Mechanical and Electrical Services, specializing in MEPFS systems, HVAC, fire protection, piping, maintenance, and engineering solutions. Throughout his career, he has handled projects for major companies such as Coca-Cola Philippines, Nestlé Philippines, UNILAB, Monde Nissin, and The Manila Hotel. Through his technical expertise and entrepreneurial leadership, Engr. Wong continues to deliver innovative and cost-efficient engineering solutions nationwide.
